Support
If you have a question about Buddi, or notice a problem with it, please let me know. Depending on what the issue is, there are a few different places where you can turn.
General Forum
If you have found a general question about Buddi or its functionality, you should post a question to the General Forum. This is a location where people can post questions and answers to anything related to Buddi. Before posting, please look through some of the previous questions and answers - chances are good that someone has already asked the same question that you have, and have already received an answer!
Bugs
If you think that you have found a bug, please let me know about it using the Bug Tracker system. Before submitting a new bug, please look through existing bugs, to make sure you do not create a duplicate.
When filling out a bug report, I need four pieces of information:
- Summary of the bug. Please give me enough information in here to fully understand what the problem is.
- Steps to reproduce the problem. This can be as short or as long as you need. Please make this in the form of a very simple list, trying to keep each step as short as possible to ensure that I fully understand it.
- Observed Behaviour. After following the steps above, what do you see that is not correct?
- Desired Behaviour. Instead of the behaviour you observed, what should the correct outcome be?
Feature Requests
If you want to request that a new feature be added to Buddi, please use the Feature Request system. This gives me a single location to manage requests, and prevents me from losing track of them. Only include requests for core Buddi features here; if you are requesting a new plugin, please use the Plugin Request system.
Note that I will not implement features which go contrary to the main theme of Buddi. Buddi is designed as a program to help users manage their budget, without being too complicated. Because of this, I will not include many of the advanced features used in other accounting and budgeting software packages. If you are looking for this, you are better off using one of the many more advanced (and complicated) programs.
